In 2019 Fr. Battersby Council #7586 donated an ultrasound machine to Pregnancy Aid of Detroit. The project was chaired and run by S.K. John O’Dowd PGK. 

Throughout the pandemic, John kept working on the funding and was able to secure the funds for the ultrasound machine. This just goes to show there is nothing that can stand in the way of the Knights of Columbus. This could not have been accomplished without the financial support and help of fellow councils: St. William Council #4064, Fr. John Howard Council #8500, St. Mary of the Hills Council #13950, and the Supreme Council for matching the donation for the ultrasound machine. Fr. Edmund Battersby Council #7586 would like to thank all of you and the many generous individual donors.

Aside from the new ultrasound machine, a new building was also donated to Pregnancy Aid of Detroit by many donors as a result of the center’s Capital Campaign to help them in the great work that they do every day.
